Legacy of Leaders 2025 Honors Quiet Greatness in a Grand Celebration of Fatherhood, Service, and Impact
For Immediate Release
Nassau, The Bahamas – June 18, 2025
The Fox Foundation’s second annual Father’s Day initiative ignites a national conversation about leadership, legacy, and the men shaping the future of The Bahamas.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On June 14, 2025, under the soaring ceilings of Baha Mar’s Grand Hyatt, a powerful truth echoed through the voices, stories, and spirits of more than two dozen honorees: real leadership isn’t always loud—it’s consistent, selfless, and rooted in love. That message was the heartbeat of Legacy of Leaders 2025, an extraordinary event hosted by The Fox Foundation, founded by Dr. Adrian Fox and Adrianna Fox, to honor the men whose lives are shaping the next generation of Bahamian excellence.
Now in its second year, Legacy of Leaders has grown into one of the nation’s most heartfelt and impactful celebrations of fatherhood, mentorship, and quiet service. It is more than an awards event. It is a cultural touchstone—a call to recognize the foundational role men play in building strong families, safe communities, and hopeful futures.
“We created this event to honor the men who show up with intention and lead with heart,” said Dr. Adrian Fox, founder of The Fox Foundation. “Some are fathers by blood, others by presence. But all are builders of people, communities, and legacy.”
From cabinet ministers and clergy to entrepreneurs, educators, military leaders, and hospitality pioneers, the 2025 honorees represent the full spectrum of Bahamian life. What unites them is not status, but service.
This year’s featured honorees included:
Father of the Year: The Right Reverend Laish Boyd, whose spiritual leadership continues to anchor families and faith across The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos.
Lifetime Achievement Award: Robert Davis, an entrepreneur, statesman, and former White House Fellow whose life of service has empowered communities across North America and the Caribbean.
Deputy Prime Minister I. Chester Cooper, celebrated for his visionary leadership in tourism, finance, and national development.
Hon. Alfred Sears, for a lifetime of nation-shaping work in education, law, and civic empowerment.
Hon. Wayne Munroe, KC, for unwavering commitment to justice, public safety, and family values.
Hon. Clay Sweeting, the youngest Cabinet Minister, representing a new generation of leadership grounded in authenticity and integrity.
Hon. Sylvanus Petty, a community-rooted leader turning practical experience into transformative policy.
Commodore Floyd Moxey, a pillar of legal and military excellence.
Deputy Commissioner A. Anthony Rolle, for his lifelong dedication to community policing and youth mentorship.
Mr. Ralph Munroe, Comptroller of Customs, honored for over four decades of unwavering public service.
In addition, a diverse slate of honorees from fields including healthcare, aviation, hospitality, ministry, real estate, sports, and philanthropy were honored for their unyielding devotion to building better lives and lifting others.
From emotional tributes to stirring performances, the evening struck a chord that resonated far beyond the ballroom. It was not just about what these men had accomplished—it was about the values they live and the legacy they continue to build.
