Fox Foundation Marks 11th Annual Back-to-School Giveaway, Empowering Kemp Road Youth with Supplies and Scholarships
Nassau, The Bahamas – August 22, 2025 – The Fox Foundation, led by co-founders The Honorable Dr. Adrian Fox and Adrianna Fox, proudly hosted its 11th Annual Back-to-School Giveaway on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at The Barn Yard on Kemp Road. The free community event once again served families in the Kemp Road area with essential school supplies, free haircuts, nutritious food, exciting games, and family-friendly activities — all designed to prepare students for a successful new school year in an atmosphere of fun and support.
Now in its 11th year, the back-to-school giveaway has become a beloved tradition and a cornerstone of community support in Kemp Road, underscoring the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to uplifting generations and creating a lasting impact on youth and their families.
The Hon. Glenys Hanna-Martin, Minister of Education, attended as a special guest speaker, joining Dr. Adrian Fox and Adrianna Fox in encouraging students and parents. A highlight of this year’s event was the awarding of over $150,000 in scholarships to five promising students from the Kemp Road community (three girls and two boys). These scholarships added to the Foundation’s total contributions of more than $500,000 in scholarships to over 20 students since the program’s inception.
“Our vision has always been about consistency and commitment. For over a decade, we’ve shown up — rain or shine — to remind these children that their education matters,” said Adrianna Fox, co-founder of The Fox Foundation, during her remarks. “What began 11 years ago with a handful of volunteers packing school bags in the rain has grown into a legacy of empowerment for this community. We are so proud of how this giveaway has inspired hope and opportunity for an entire generation of students in Kemp Road.”
Fox also emphasized the importance of preparing students for a rapidly changing future. “We wanted our young people to leave not only with notebooks and pencils, but also with the resilience to overcome challenges and the confidence to chase their dreams,” she added. “Education is the great equalizer — by investing in these students, we are investing in the future of our community and our nation. We were incredibly grateful to the parents, teachers, volunteers, and partners like Chefy’s Grill who made this day possible. It truly takes a village, and Kemp Road is a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together for its children.”
Chefy’s Grill, a popular local eatery, supported the event by providing food and refreshments for attendees. Their contribution, along with the dedication of volunteers and community partners, helped transform the Back-to-School Giveaway into more than just a supply drive. It became a celebration of unity, encouragement, and hope for families across Kemp Road.
